October Update! [updated 10/28/09]

Hi guys, it is nearing the end of October (time flies so fast!), and we have some announcements to make:

Sketchbooks: They would be a great way to compile and document your artistic progress and work. You can see your initial sketches, to different revisions, final sketch, and maybe even a COLORED FINAL version! How cool is that? And poor pres. Juliana doesn't have to keep handing out printer paper (which isn't all that great quality). Anyway, it can be your personal sketchbook, to draw your friends, your teachers, anything. You can buy one for a cheap price through Art Club.

Halloween Contest: Yes, you know how we were talking about an art contest for Halloween? Well here it is! The BEST MONSTER DESIGN. It must be original and awesome, any medium or size(don't go crazy) is fine. Not only will we be judging rendering, but more importantly the design. Is it creative? Cool? Scary? Strange? Anything that will surprise us. Due date is officially Wednesday when you arrive (don't be too ridiculous about arriving fashionably late), or you can submit online arcadiaartclub@gmail.com (by Wednesday)
Ah, yes PRIZES. There will be a first and second prize. It's a surprise! You only have a week so hurry!

Movie time: We plan to host an Halloween movie event for you guys on Friday 30th afterschool in F3 (Hey it's the end of the first quarter!). Someone suggested Coraline, which we think is perfect. (though not sure where to get it aside from renting, anyone have the film at home? Or any other films?) There will be food and drinks, and of course.. FUN. More info to come later...

Our club advisor, Ms. Allen, may or may not need to leave to take her daughter to the doctor's. So the movie event might have to cancel or take place in another classroom. Hopefully, everything will work out perfectly as planned instead of the other unfortunate alternatives! > __ <

Contest has been extended to following Wednesday (after Halloween!) on October 4th. Same criteria and rules apply. Prizes awarded on that day as well.
